Increasingly I have noticed estate agents and auctioneers getting involved in sponsoring horseracing in Ireland, lending their names to races across the country. Developers and construction firms have been part of this scene for quite some time, such notable events include the Pierse Hurdle and the largely Durkan New Homes sponsored day in Leopardstown over Christmas.
